International News: Apple unveils iPhone Duo, Its first foldable iPhone

By Zoila Palma:  Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, featuring a new design that combines a compact 5.4-inch outer display with a 7.6-inch inner screen when fully opened.

Apple says the device is its thinnest iPhone ever when unfolded and is designed to provide a larger canvas for gaming, multitasking and viewing content while maintaining a pocket-friendly form factor when closed.

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip and features an advanced thermal management system, a custom-designed vapor chamber and a dual-battery architecture aimed at delivering high performance and all-day battery life.

The new foldable iPhone features a 48MP Fusion Main camera capable of capturing images at up to 48MP resolution, along with an integrated optical-quality 2x Telephoto capability.

Apple says the folding design also enables new ways of using the camera, while the device incorporates Camera Control and a new Siri Camera mode that allows Siri to analyze what users are viewing through the camera and respond to questions or take actions.

Apple said that the phone will be available in Star White and Night Sky, with pre-orders beginning October 16 and availability starting October 23.
