Kigezi Homeboyz had a blip in their quest to earn promotion to the Uganda Premier League after registering back to back defeats in a space of four days.
The Gorillas had two games on the road, both in West Nile but all ended in disappointment thus complicating their promotion journey.
First, they played against Paidha Black Angels at the Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo and lost 2-0. Jacob Opar and Joel Jangeyambe scored a goal each for Paidha.
The win coupled with Sunday’s 4-0 win over Soltilo Bright Stars brought back Paidha Black Angels into promotion contention and now sit third on the table with 43 points.
For Kigezi, their West Nile trip ended with another loss on Sunday, falling 2-0 to Onduparaka at the Greenlight Stadium.
With just five games to go, Kigezi Homeboyz drop to second place on 45 points, same as leaders Blacks Power who eased past Bunyaruguru United with a 3-0 home win.
