The Ore-Aob Music //Khoab and Donkey Meat Festival will be staged at Mondesa Stadium at Kuisebmond on Saturday.

The annual event, which involves music and a donkey meat cooking competition, returns with a bigger and exciting format.

Event host Gerson Ore-Aob says: ”This event has become a very important component for ma /gaisa music and donkey meat lovers. We have decided to combine the two together for a better product.

“It brings some of the country’s hottest ma /gaisa music stars under one roof. They are all performing with a live band and we always invite big entertainers.”

Ore-Aaob says patrons can expect to enjoy their favourite ma /gaisa music and donkey meat.

After a very successful event held at the Legare at Gobabis last month, the Swakopmund leg has all the ingredients to be an exciting affair, he says.

“Swakopmund is the place to be this Saturday. The music show presents a very exciting line-up with crowd-favourite and a son from Mondesa, Ou Stakes, headlining the event,” MC Webzito Snewe adds.

“Ou Stakes is currently enjoying prominence on Kaisames Radio with his new album, and he is definitely going to perform some of his new hits.”

The dynamic veteran ma /gaisa duo Raphael & Pele, with their trademark /gereseb dance, need no introduction.

Another attraction, Oc Bulan, is a veteran at events of this nature and she is generally considered the best female ma /gaisa artist in the country.

Aubasen, also known as Ander Donkie, made a return to showbiz life during the Gobabis leg of the Ore-Aob Music //Khoab. Powered by his evergreen hit ‘Hierie Is n Ander Donkie’, he remains one of the best stage performers in the ma /gaisa genre.

New kid on the block Kaptein Tswazi, who is now running solo after he left kwaito trio Tzwasis, will also perform at the event.

Other acts include veterans Lettie, Slow and Michael Owos-Oab.

Tickets are available on Webtickets and all Model Supermarket outlets, and range from N$100 to N$250.
