Power Player Suite Delivers an Unforgettable Night of Sports, Fashion, Entertainment and Culture in New York City

The inaugural 2026 Power Player Suite delivered an unforgettable evening in New York City, bringing together sports, fashion, entertainment, media, and entrepreneurship during one of the biggest weeks in sports. The event was presented by Hungerford Management Group, led by Dana Hicks-Hungerford and Brian Hungerford, in partnership with MNS Media Group, led by Ernest Jackson. Supporting the production as part of the Hungerford Management Group event team were Cornita Cole and  Dannielle Brown, whose efforts helped make the evening a tremendous success.

Hosted by Kelsey Nicole Nelson of FOX Sports and Listen In With KNN, the evening began with an exciting red carpet hosted by Autumn Joi of WLIT 106 Radio, who welcomed and introduced celebrity guests, athletes, entertainers, designers, and influencers as they arrived. Her energy and professionalism helped set the tone for an unforgettable evening while creating engaging moments for attendees and media alike.

Guests enjoyed interactive brand activations from Dam Good CBD, NEM Sneakers, RYZE Superfoods (Mushroom Coffee), E’thal LVI Vodka, LaMar Beard & Body Oil, Iconek Films, the executive producers of When Fatal Attraction Hit Home and Bedridden. Additional partners including StinkBalm, SY Aesthetics, Natalia Megan Beauty, Holla Back Curls,  Curly Chic,  Sheri Pierre of Cosmic Glow, Chef Stacey, The June Plum Table, and Chef CiCi Li helped create an elevated guest experience.

E’thal LVI Vodka kept the celebration flowing throughout the evening by serving handcrafted cocktails that quickly became a guest favorite. Throughout the night, attendees gathered around the bar to enjoy the premium vodka and its flavorful blends while networking and celebrating. Guests also enjoyed a delicious culinary experience courtesy of Chef Stacey of The June Plum Table, who served flavorful Jamaican curry wings, jerk wings, and peas and rice. The authentic Caribbean cuisine received rave reviews, with many guests returning for seconds and praising the food as one of the evening’s standout experiences.  One of the evening’s most heartfelt moments came during the presentation of the Legend Award to legendary sports broadcaster, actress, and trailblazer Jayne Kennedy. Although unable to attend in person, Kennedy made a special on-screen appearance to personally thank the Power Player Suite for the prestigious honor. As a video celebrating her groundbreaking career played, the audience erupted with applause and excitement, making it one of the night’s most memorable and emotional moments.

The evening’s energy remained high thanks to Official DJ Nephew, while hip hop pioneer Kurtis Blow accepted the Salute to the Game Award before surprising guests with a live performance of his legendary anthem, Basketball, creating one of the biggest highlights of the night.

Fashion was a major attraction as celebrity designer Kenny Kas accepted the Fashion Icon Award before unveiling an exclusive collaboration jacket with FUBU. Models Yassie Thompson, Ianta Dos Santos, and Patty Singh captivated guests as living mannequins before showcasing the latest Kenny Kas and FUBU collections while Getty Imagescaptured the presentation. The evening also honored J. Alexander Martin and Keith Perrin, co-founders of FUBU, with the Legends of Fashion Award, while boxing champion Franchón “The Heavy Hitting Diva” Crews-Dezurn received the Undisputed Excellence Award. Community leader Andrew Council was presented with the Hometown Hero Award for his unwavering commitment to serving his community.

Celebrity guests included Ralph Carter (Good Times), Monifah (R&B Divas), Carl Anthony Payne II (Martin & The Cosby Show), DJ Chuck Chillout (WBLS), Shamila Beslow, Shneidine Michel, Phyllis Spencer of The New York Liberty Timeless Torches, Deja Blaise ( on-air personality for Power 105.1 and co-host of Topic Time with DJ Self ) , Treasure Thompson reality television personality featured on The Real Blac Chyna (Zeus Network), Rob & Chyna (E! Network), and Hood to Hollywood (Tubi) ,Cynthia Horner Editor in Chief of Urban Entertainment, Celebrity Publicist Marie Driven, Dr. BobbiBig Mouth Toothbrush on Shark Tank, CEO of Full Blossom Magazine and Celebrity photographer Mello Andrews, Ceo of the The New Old School and Ivit clothing Bobbystone, celebrity MUA’s Kimeeko Logan & Janelle Z. Guests were also treated to an outstanding performance by LaTasha Bla’q, whose acclaimed Toni Braxton Experience Tribute had the audience singing along throughout her set.
