By Zoila Palma: Recently, President of the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH)Albert Vaughan met with the newly formed Toledo Kriol Council (TKC) in Punta Gorda Town.
TKC President Danika Marcelin expressed excitement about collaborating with NICH to safeguard and promote Kriol culture in southern Belize. She was joined by executive members Marva Skeen and Dixy Usher.
President Vaughan reaffirmed the importance of strengthening the partnership with the Toledo Kriol Council for the full promotion of culture, and looks forward to their participation in the upcoming Punta Gorda House of Culture.
Vaughan was accompanied by Advisor Yasser Musa, Board of Director Arreini Palacio-Morgan, Giovani Pinelo, and Director Rolando Cocom.
