The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Rwanda has concluded a two-day visit to Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) as part of a study tour in the United Arab Emirates.
The visit focused on regulatory knowledge exchange around virtual assets and emerging technologies, with discussions aimed at strengthening Rwanda’s capacity to oversee new financial technologies and support investor confidence.
CMA CEO Romeo Ngarambe commended VARA for facilitating an open exchange of regulatory knowledge during the visit.
The authority said lessons from the UAE study tour will contribute to Rwanda’s approach to regulating new technologies and strengthening confidence in the country’s capital markets.
