Turks and Caicos Just Got a Big Winter Flight Expansion With New Routes Across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Florida

A white-sand beach, clear turquoise water and one of the Caribbean’s strongest luxury hotel collections are about to get easier to reach from several major U.S. cities.

BermudAir is significantly expanding its service to the Turks and Caicos Islands for the 2026-2027 winter season, adding new nonstop and direct routes from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Florida as the carrier deepens its Caribbean network — part of a broader Caribbean expansion for the airline that began last year.

The expansion, announced by Experience Turks and Caicos and the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority, will bring new and enhanced service into Providenciales International Airport during one of the destination’s busiest travel periods.

The new flights begin this fall and winter and run through spring 2027, giving travelers additional options to reach one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after destinations.

What’s New for Turks and Caicos Travelers

The biggest addition is a broad network of flights connecting Providenciales with several key U.S. markets.

BermudAir will launch weekly nonstop Saturday service from Newark, along with a weekly direct Thursday flight, operating from Dec. 19, 2026 through April 29, 2027.

The airline is also adding weekly Saturday service from Boston, operating from Dec. 19, 2026 through May 1, 2027.

Travelers from the Washington region will gain a new option with weekly nonstop Thursday flights from Baltimore-Washington, beginning Dec. 24, 2026 and running through April 29, 2027.

North Carolina continues to emerge as an important Caribbean gateway. BermudAir will operate twice-weekly nonstop service from Raleigh-Durham on Thursdays and Sundays, from Dec. 20, 2026 through May 2, 2027.

Florida travelers will see the largest increase in frequency.

The airline is launching three weekly flights from Fort Lauderdale on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning Oct. 26, 2026 and continuing through May 3, 2027.

BermudAir is also adding twice-weekly nonstop service from St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport in the Tampa Bay area, operating Mondays and Thursdays from Dec. 21, 2026 through May 3, 2027.

A Bigger Winter Airlift Push

The expanded schedule comes as Turks and Caicos continues to see strong demand from luxury travelers seeking warm-weather escapes during the winter season.

The destination has become one of the Caribbean’s most popular high-end markets, driven by its collection of beachfront resorts, villa developments, boating experiences and the consistently strong appeal of Grace Bay Beach.

Tourism officials say the new flights are expected to strengthen connectivity from several important visitor markets while supporting continued growth in arrivals.

“The expansion of airlift through BermudAir is a strong vote of confidence in the Turks and Caicos Islands as a premier destination,” said Minister of Tourism Zhavargo Jolly. “These new and enhanced routes strengthen and diversify our connectivity to key markets and support our broader strategy of sustainable tourism growth, increased visitor arrivals and expanded economic opportunity for our people.”

The additional service also broadens the destination’s reach beyond traditional gateway cities, particularly in the southeastern United States.

Why These Flights Matter

The new schedule gives travelers more direct options during a period when demand for Caribbean vacations typically reaches its highest levels.

Winter remains the most popular season for Turks and Caicos, with visitors arriving for beach vacations, luxury resort stays, yachting trips, diving excursions and long-weekend escapes.

Additional service from cities such as Raleigh-Durham, Baltimore-Washington and St. Petersburg-Clearwaterreduces the need for connections through larger hubs and creates more one-stop and nonstop opportunities for travelers planning winter Caribbean trips.

The expanded Fort Lauderdale operation is particularly notable because it provides multiple departures each week throughout the season, giving travelers added flexibility when booking shorter stays.

The Luxury Travel Focus

Tourism officials said Experience Turks and Caicos and BermudAir will support the new routes with a cooperative marketing campaign focused on luxury travelers.

The campaign will promote the destination across key source markets through digital advertising and destination-focused initiatives highlighting the islands’ signature experiences.

That includes the beaches that have made Providenciales famous, along with the destination’s collection of luxury resorts, high-end villas, dining scene, boating experiences and marine attractions.

The strategy reflects the continued strength of the luxury segment in Turks and Caicos, where new hotel development and growing visitor demand have helped position the destination among the Caribbean’s leading upscale vacation markets.

Where to Stay in Turks and Caicos

The timing of the new flights coincides with peak season at many of the destination’s most popular resorts.

The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos remains one of the most prominent addresses on Grace Bay, with beachfront rooms, multiple restaurants and a central location along one of the Caribbean’s best-known stretches of sand.

The Shore Club Turks and Caicos continues to be one of the destination’s standout luxury resorts, pairing oversized suites and villas with a quieter beachfront location on Long Bay Beach.

Travelers looking for a boutique experience can consider The Rock House, a cliffside resort with Mediterranean-inspired design and dramatic ocean views on the north coast of Providenciales.

Villa demand also remains strong across the destination, particularly during the winter season, making early booking important for travelers planning holiday and early-spring trips.

What’s Next

The new BermudAir routes will begin rolling out in October before expanding significantly in December ahead of the winter travel season.

For travelers in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Florida, the additional flights mean more ways to reach one of the Caribbean’s most in-demand destinations just as winter vacation planning begins to accelerate.

With new service from Newark, Boston, Baltimore-Washington, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale and the Tampa Bay region, Turks and Caicos is preparing for another busy season on its beaches and at its resorts.
