The Coast To Coast Netball Tournament wraps up this Saturday, June 27, at the Micoud Court, with four exciting games lined up. Netball Saint Lucia announced the finalists for both the junior and senior categories after last weekend’s semifinals at the Beausejour Gymnasium.
In the senior division, 2 Da Max defeated the Windward Islands Secondary Games (WISG) team 49-26, repeating their strong performance from the previous week. Shamrock forfeited their preliminary match to LFX Netballers, and in the semifinal, the LFX team in pink won 56-20.
In the junior matches, Little Sisters earned a dominant 35-6 win over Shamrock Juniors, while Ruby Red Darlings edged out White Blazers 11-8.
Starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Micoud Court, White Blazers face Shamrock Juniors in the third-place playoff, followed by the junior final between Ruby Red Darlings and Little Sisters. At 3 p.m., Shamrock Seniors take on the WISG team for third place, and 2 Da Max will play LFX Netballers for the senior championship.
Saturday’s games mark the end of over five weeks of netball. The senior national team is now getting ready for the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in August, and for the World Championship qualifiers in Barbados in October.
