How are you? We are so excited to have you for the first time here chatting with us at Billboard. We’re going to learn a bit about your story, but I want to start with that big hit, “Chévere Premium Remix” with Ryan Castro, which was named No. 1 Latin song of the year so far by Billboard. What was your reaction?

No, still. It’s impressive for me. In fact, I see the posts and I see that it doesn’t leave the chart, so that fills me with so much joy.

I love that. Before we start talking about the impact of “Chévere,” I want to know a bit about your story. Who is Aria Vega? How do you describe yourself? Why should people listen to your music, for those who are getting to know you just now? 

As a woman very proud of what she is, who makes chévere music. 

At what moment did you discover you had this gift? I don’t know if you come from a musical family. Tell us a bit about how this passion for music was born. 

I come from a musical family on the side of dance.
