By Zoila Palma: Members of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) assisted with preparations at La Immaculada RC School in Eyles Camp, Orange Walk District, on Friday, August 21, 2026, as the school gets ready to welcome students for the new academic year.
Soldiers from Gulf Company of the Second Infantry Battalion carried out pressure washing, painting and other renovations aimed at improving the school’s facilities and creating a more welcoming environment for students and staff.
The school provided the necessary equipment, while the BDF members contributed their time, skills and labour to complete the community service project.
The BDF said it remains committed to supporting communities whenever possible while balancing its operational responsibilities.
