The British Airways BA825 inbound London was reported to be declaring an emergency, while holding 8,000 feet in the air.
The British Airways (BA) Aircraft reportedly issued the emergency notification while cruising over North-West England, forcing the aircraft to make a rapid descent before continuing to its destination at a lower altitude.
Flight BA825, operated by an Airbus A321neo with registration G-TNEI, departed from Dublin Airport (DUB) on schedule at 8:45 AM.
However, shortly after reaching its cruising altitude, the flight crew issued a squawk 7700 code, which is the international signal for a general emergency.
