Rising Cape Verdean-American singer, songwriter, actress, and creative visionary Stonii is emerging as one of Los Angeles’ most compelling independent artists. Blending contemporary pop and R&B with cinematic storytelling and fearless self-expression, she is building a career defined not only by artistic versatility, but by authenticity, cultural pride, and purpose.
A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Stonii effortlessly bridges the worlds of music, film, and fashion while creating work that resonates far beyond entertainment. Proud of her Cape Verdean heritage, she represents a new generation of creatives whose multicultural identities shape both their artistry and their perspective, bringing fresh voices and meaningful representation to today’s music landscape.
With the releases of HALLE, Supernova, A Very Stonii Christmas, and her latest single release Doses that’s got the RNB scene buzzing, Stonii has continued to showcase an artist unafraid to evolve. Each project reveals another layer of her creativity, blending vulnerability, confidence, and infectious melodies with stories that encourage listeners to embrace every version of themselves. Rather than chasing trends, she creates music that reflects her own journey—one rooted in growth, self-discovery, and emotional honesty. With producer and manager Don Terell serving as executive producer, mentor, and vocal coach, Stonii credits her artistic growth and creative vision to the strength of her team.
That journey has become the foundation of her artistry.
As a young girl, Stonii endured severe bullying that left lasting emotional wounds and nearly claimed her life. Instead of allowing those experiences to define her, she transformed her pain into purpose through what she affectionately calls her “Swan Story”—a powerful reminder that beauty, confidence, and strength often emerge from life’s greatest struggles. Today, that transformation inspires listeners around the world to believe that healing is possible and that their own stories are still being written.
Mental health advocacy remains central to Stonii’s mission, particularly in encouraging conversations surrounding emotional wellness among young people and Black women, who are too often left feeling unseen or unheard. Through her music and public platform, she speaks openly about overcoming adversity, embracing vulnerability, and rejecting the stigma surrounding mental health. Her message is simple but powerful: vulnerability is strength, healing is possible, and no one should ever feel alone.
Her commitment to making a difference extends beyond her music. Through her holiday project A Very Stonii Christmas, she partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation by donating a portion of merchandise proceeds from her original song, You’re the Wish I Make, helping bring hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses. The initiative reflected her belief that music should not only inspire—it should create meaningful impact.
For Stonii, success has never been measured solely by streams, awards, or accolades. It is measured by the lives she touches, the conversations she starts, and the hope she leaves behind. Every song, performance, and creative endeavor reflects her commitment to building community, encouraging self-worth, and reminding others that their greatest chapters may still lie ahead.
As she continues releasing new music, expanding into film and creative storytelling, and growing her platform as an advocate, Stonii is establishing herself as far more than anemerging artist. She is becoming a voice for resilience, representation, and creative freedom—a reminder that authenticity is timeless, culture is powerful, and the most meaningful success comes from inspiring others to become the fullest expression of who they were always meant tobe.
