D’Yani unveils latest Summer Sizzler ‘Journey’
Jamaican poet and singer-songwriter D’Yani has returned to the airwaves with his latest single, ‘Journey.’ Following his Seanizzle-produced chart busting release ‘The Little Things,’ D’Yani’s artistry speaks for itself. Accumulating over 327,000 monthly Spotify listeners alone, the singer-songwriter continues to keep his foot on the pedal as he gifts fans with a single in the running to be a summer soundtrack.
Housing an up-beat production that’s enriched with an infectious percussion and warming backing vocals, Journey is a push of encouragement and love to his supporters. Detailing the intricacies that come with life as we grow wiser, ‘Journey’ is the check-in we all need to ensure that we’re on the right track; even through life’s trials, we can always pick ourselves back up and keep on pushing. When asked about the single, D’Yani explained, “‘Journey’ is a very personal song for me. It came from real life experiences, the ups, the downs, the growth, the losses, the blessings ,everything that shapes you along the way. Recording it with Remus, who also produced ‘Live A Little,’ a song that’s still receiving major love and attention worldwide ,felt natural because we already built a strong musical chemistry together. I wasn’t trying to force a story, I was simply speaking my truth. Sonically, we wanted it to feel uplifting and soulful, something people could reflect on but still feel good listening to.”
“After the love people showed to ‘The Little Things,’ I hope ‘Journey’ gives fans something deeper to hold onto. I want people to hear it and feel encouraged through whatever season of life they’re in. Everybody’s journey is different, but we all go through moments that test us and help us grow,” continued D’Yani.
D’yani emerged on the Jamaican music scene in 2022 following the COVID era, quickly capturing attention with ‘Feelings (Remix)’ featuring Jada Kingdom and establishing himself as the newest heartthrob in Jamaican music. He continued building momentum with singles such as ‘Señorita,’ ‘Goddess,’ ‘Birthday,’ ‘Lock And Key,’ and ‘Ride It.’
Another major step in his career came when D’yani linked with Kareem “Remus” Burrell of XTM.Nation to create ‘Live A Little,’ the breakout record that significantly elevated his profile internationally.
‘Live A Little’ also caught the attention of internationally renowned producer and media personality DJ Khaled, who shared the song multiple times across Instagram. The two later crossed paths on the red carpet at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards in New York City, where Khaled was seen singing along to the song and “bussing blanks” a Caribbean expression symbolizing genuine excitement and cultural approval for a song and artist.
