What could happen if churches across Milwaukee came together with one shared purpose? This Saturday, eight congregations will answer that question as they gather in Washington Park for MKE Better Together, a free citywide outreach focused on serving families, strengthening neighborhoods, and creating meaningful connections across the city.
Rather than inviting people into one church building, MKE Better Together brings the church into the community. Through practical resources, family activities, music, prayer, baptisms, and local partnerships, the event is designed to remind Milwaukee residents that they are seen, supported, and not alone.
EVENT DETAILS:
Event: MKE Better Together
Date: Saturday, July 25th, 2026
Time: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Washington Park
1859 N. 40th Street | Milwaukee, WI
Media are invited to attend Saturday’s event and capture families receiving resources, volunteers serving side by side, moments of worship and celebration, and neighbors connecting throughout the afternoon. Advance interviews with organizers and participating church leaders are also available throughout the week to discuss how this collaboration came together, featured musical guests, program highlights, community partnerships, and the vision behind MKE Better Together.
Visual opportunities include: families receiving free resources, children’s activities and bounce houses, free haircuts, worship, prayer, baptisms, live musical performances, community partner booths, volunteers serving throughout the park, and churches from across Milwaukee working side by side.
PARTICIPATING CHURCHES:
Ambassador Church, Christ Global Methodist Church, City of Light Church, Epikos Church, Evolve Church, Revive, Rise MKE, and Uflourish Church
At its heart, MKE Better Together is built around three simple ideas:
-
Meet physical needs by removing barriers and providing tangible support.
-
Meet spiritual needs by offering hope, prayer, worship, and baptism to anyone who desires it.
-
Build lasting community by helping individuals and families find meaningful relationships and a church home where they can continue to grow long after the event ends.
Attendees will enjoy free food, family activities, health resources, book bags, diapers and wipes, hygiene kits, free haircuts, games, crafts, music, bounce houses, and giveaways while supplies last. Throughout the afternoon, guests will also have opportunities for prayer, worship, baptisms, and meaningful connections with local churches and community organizations committed to serving Milwaukee beyond this event.
About MKE Better Together
MKE Better Together is a citywide partnership of local churches committed to demonstrating what is possible when unity moves beyond conversation and into action. By serving together, the coalition seeks to strengthen Milwaukee through practical support, authentic relationships, and the hope found in Christ, reminding every person who attends that they belong and that no one has to walk through life alone.
