Mya Walker Lawrence has been named executive director of Southwestern Illinois College’s Sam Wolf Granite City Campus.
Lawrence brings more than 21 years of higher education experience. She previously held leadership positions at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas; Park University in Parkville, Missouri; and William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
She holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Kansas, an MBA from Keller Graduate School and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Lindenwood University.
