MEOVV Go Full Beast Mode With THE 2nd EP Album (Bite Now)

 Today, global girl group MEOVV officially go into beast mode with THE 2nd EP ALBUM [BITE NOW], out now via THEBLACKLABEL / Capitol Records.

The strikingly bold five-song set is unlike anything we’ve heard yet from the quintet, embodying reinvention and ascension as MEOVV evolve into their true form driven by unyielding grit and unwavering resolve. That awakening is especially clear in the dramatic single “DDI RO RI” and its eye-popping music video. Watch HERE. 

The title of “DDI RO RI” is an onomatopoeic nod to one of the track’s most stunning features: the iconic organ blast of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor. That timeless explosion of gothic grandeur is paired with a Brooklyn drill beat and MEOVV’s enthralling vocals to create a moment that’s both high class and high impact. When they declare “You know I’m the blueprint, I be on that new sh*t,” there’s no room for doubt. The opulence of the classical music juxtaposed against modern sounds and situations builds relentless tension, underscoring the group’s visceral ambition. As they sing in the cut’s opening bars, “What’s the deal? This is the start, I feel arenas / Shout my name from Korea out to Ibiza.”

“DDI RO RI” was co-written by MEOVV members NARIN, ELLA, and GAWON alongside THEBLACKLABEL founder TEDDY with Kaine, lil aaron, KUSH, Vince, Dominsuk, Zikai, and DCF, and writer-producers 24 and Dominsuk. NARIN, ELLA, and GAWON also co-wrote “In My Hands,” while NARIN and GAWON co-wrote “Favorite Song” and “Revenge.”

On THE 2nd EP ALBUM [BITE NOW], MEOVV sink their teeth into fans with an array of moods and modes that combine to form the group’s utterly unique musical universe. “Hit ’Em” is dark and propulsive, unable to be ignored. “In My Hands” combines a huge EDM sound with emotive vocals and an ecstatic hook: “Got the world in my hands.” The aptly titled “Favorite Song” finds strength in restraint, carving out a guitar-led soul-pop groove. And the closer “Revenge” is a lush and eerily dreamy expression of alt-R&B that captures the conflict of a relationship that can’t be escaped even when all parties know it’s not going to end well.

THE 2nd EP ALBUM [BITE NOW] offers a full-fledged expansion of the vision MEOVV unveiled on their inaugural EP MY EYES OPEN VVIDE, a sonic coming-of-age story that traced the quintet’s journey as they opened their eyes to the world, broke down boundaries, and began actualizing their dreams. With highlights including their debut single “MEOW,” which launched in the Top 10 of Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, and “HANDS UP,” which earned MEOVV their first-ever music show win on Mnet’s M Countdown — not to mention “TOXIC” and “BODY” — the six-track set freely breaks down barriers between genres, moods, languages, and vocal styles to capture MEOVV’s core duality: both razor sharp and effortlessly smooth.

MEOVV closed out 2025 with the fiery banger “BURNING UP,” capturing their relentless determination following a string of early milestones. Shortly after dropping MY EYES OPEN VVIDE, the multinational group released their first Japanese single, “ME ME ME,” in partnership with cosmetic brand KAO. After that, the girls made their stunning live U.S. debut at KCON LA. They also landed on the hotly tipped Fall Emerging Artists list from PEOPLE, who wrote, “K-Pop fan or not, MEOVV will be your latest obsession.” 

Hailing from South Korea, the US, and Japan, MEOVV’s lineup includes SOOIN, GAWON, ANNA, NARIN, and ELLA — five stars who possess both uniquely compelling identities and an indestructible bond. After playing an integral role in shaping some of K-pop’s most iconic acts over the past couple decades, TEDDY hand-picked the members of MEOVV — his first girl group since debuting BLACKPINK — and is directing all facets of the creative and production. MEOVV launched in September 2024 and, three months later, won “Favorite Rising Artist” at the 2024 MAMA Awards, Asia’s most prestigious music award show.
