By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology issued a statement today expressing condolences on the passing of Dr. Dorian Barrow.
Dr. Barrow served with distinction as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education from 1998 to 2003, where he played a pivotal role in advancing Belize’s education sector.
Throughout his career, he remained steadfast in his commitment to learning and innovation, most recently serving as Director of the Office of STEAM, Robotics and AI at Galen University, where he championed the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics, and artificial intelligence in education.
The Ministry extended deepest condolences to Dr. Barrow’s family, friends, colleagues, former students, and the entire education community. May his legacy continue to inspire all who strive to transform education in Belize.
May he rest in eternal peace.
