MTN MoMo Uganda and SchoolPay Mark 10 Years of Digital School Fees Payment Partnership

MTN MoMo Uganda  has celebrated a decade-long partnership with SchoolPay Uganda,  highlighting 10 years of collaboration, innovation and impact in making school fee payments easier, faster and more convenient for families across the country.

The partners marked the milestone by reflecting on the progress made over the past decade and exploring opportunities to further expand digital payment adoption within Uganda’s education sector.

Speaking at the anniversary celebration, MTN MoMo Uganda Managing Director Phrase Lubega said the partnership had helped transform how parents and schools manage fee payments by making transactions more secure, convenient and accessible.

“Together, we have transformed school fees payments by making them more secure, convenient and accessible for parents and schools across Uganda,” Lubega said.

As part of the celebrations, MTN MoMo Uganda also handed over a brand-new van to the SchoolPay team. The gesture was presented as recognition of the partners’ shared commitment to advancing digital payments and improving payment solutions for Uganda’s education sector.

The 10-year partnership underscores the growing role of digital financial services in simplifying education-related payments and expanding access to convenient payment channels for parents and schools.

Both organisations said the milestone marks the beginning of another chapter of innovation, with continued efforts expected to deepen digital payment adoption and respond to the evolving needs of customers in Uganda.
