Mamelodi Sundowns will face Morocco’s FAR Rabat in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League final following decisive second leg matches in the semi-finals.

The Brazilians, home to Uganda Cranes veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango beat Tunisia’s Esperance 1-0 to seal a home and away with Brayan Leone scoring the winner like he did in the first league in Rades.

The 2-nil aggregate win takes them to a fourth final but only looking for a second title after one won in 2016.

FAR Rabat, the Moroccan side lost 1-0 to RS Berkane in the Moroccan derby but went on to qualify for the final after a 2-1 aggregate win.

The Moroccan side’s first-leg advantage ultimately proved decisive, as Yassine Lebhiri’s second-half penalty gave Berkane victory on the night but fell short of overturning the deficit from Rabat.

The Rabat-based club were the 1984/85 champions of the previous Champions Cup but have not won the competition since it become known as the CAF Champions League.
