Telecel Ghana has marked a new milestone in its digital skills development programme as the fourth cohort of the Telecel DigiTech Academy continues to expand across five regions in Ghana. The initiative is currently being delivered in the Northern, North East, Savanna, Western, and Western North regions, providing young learners with practical technology skills.
The first graduation ceremony for Cohort 4 was held in Gambaga, North East Region, where 100 students successfully completed a 12-week intensive training programme focused on robotics, website design, and mobile application development. The academy aims to equip students with the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital economy.
During the programme, participants applied their newly acquired skills by developing practical technology solutions to address real-world challenges. Their projects included a water level indicator, a smart fire extinguisher, sumo robots, and a heartbeat monitoring system, demonstrating their creativity and ability to translate classroom learning into innovative applications.
Telecel Ghana congratulated the graduates on their achievement and expressed confidence that the knowledge and experience gained through the DigiTech Academy would inspire them to continue innovating and pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The programme forms part of the company’s broader commitment to promoting digital literacy and nurturing the next generation of technology innovators across Ghana.
