*A major shift in morning talk programming is coming to Netflix, with “The Breakfast Club” set to become the platform’s first daily live show. Starting June 1. The long-running radio program will stream in real time every weekday, expanding its reach far beyond traditional broadcast radio.
According to Billboard, the show will begin airing at 6 a.m. ET and run for nearly three hours, with Netflix subscribers able to watch interviews, cultural commentary, and live discussions as they happen. The program will continue its radio broadcast at the same time, creating a simultaneous multi-platform rollout.
Charlamagne tha God described the global implications of the move, emphasizing how the show’s timing will reach audiences across different regions. “Do y’all understand what ‘Live Globally’ really means? Mornings in New York. Daytime in the U.K. and Ghana. Evenings across other parts of the world,” he said.

He also underscored the importance of live programming in modern media. “The media landscape will always evolve, but one thing consistently cuts through: live programming. That’s a big reason The Breakfast Club has sustained its reign for so long. We’re building something powerful — real-time conversation, real community, on a global scale. The future belongs to those who can see what’s possible — and trust me, the vision for The Breakfast Club and Netflix is crystal clear.”
The show is hosted by Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious, and Loren LoRosa, and has been a staple of cultural conversation since its launch in 2010. Under the new arrangement, the radio broadcast will still include commercial breaks, but Netflix viewers will receive additional material during those segments.
Those bonus offerings include behind-the-scenes footage, extended discussions, exclusive segments, and original content designed to enhance the viewing experience beyond the standard radio feed.
iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman highlighted the broader significance of the partnership, pointing to the show’s long-standing influence. “The Breakfast Club has always been at the center of culture, breaking artists, shaping conversations, and reflecting real life in real time,” he said.
The video version of “The Breakfast Club” originally moved to Netflix in January after previously being available for free on YouTube.
