The Uganda Advertising Association (UAA) has officially revived AdNites, the industry’s iconic social and networking platform that once served as a regular meeting point for Uganda’s advertising, media, and creative fraternity.

Held at Shisa Nyama in Bugolobi, the Return of the AdNites brought together agency leaders, creatives, media personalities, freelancers, veterans, and young professionals for an evening of networking, storytelling, music, dance, games, and industry bonding.

Speaking during the event, UAA Chairman Peter Kazibwe said the return of AdNites was inspired by the need to reconnect an industry that thrives on relationships, creativity, collaboration, and shared energy.

“Advertising is a people business. Some of the greatest ideas, partnerships, friendships, and collaborations in this industry have started in spaces exactly like these,” Kazibwe said.

“We wanted to bring back a space where the industry can breathe again, connect again, laugh again, and build relationships beyond pitches and deadlines. AdNites are not just parties. They are culture spaces for the creative industry.”

Kazibwe added that the UAA intends to make AdNites a consistent quarterly calendar event that evolves into an inclusive platform bringing together agencies, freelancers, production houses, media owners, clients, and young creative talent.

Former UAA Chairman Muhereza Kyamutetera, who attended the event, welcomed the return of the platform and reflected on the important role AdNites once played in shaping relationships and camaraderie within the industry.

“These spaces used to mean a lot to the industry back in the day,” Kyamutetera said.

“You would find agency owners, creatives, media people, clients, and young professionals all interacting freely. A lot of trust, friendships, and even business relationships were built in these environments. It is exciting to see the younger generation bringing this spirit back.”

Among the notable industry figures in attendance was Nomad Advertising Group CEO, Ariho Kamara alongside several advertising, media, and communications professionals from across Uganda’s creative sector.

The UAA says the revival of AdNites is part of broader efforts by the association to strengthen industry unity, individual membership, mentorship, visibility, and engagement among professionals across the communications and advertising ecosystem.
