In this special interview, Victoria Saddler, founder of Unwind & Thrive, shares her journey of building a luxury self-care brand rooted in intentional living, mental wellness, and the power of rest.
From balancing entrepreneurship and personal responsibilities to redefining what success and luxury truly mean, Victoria is on a mission to remind women that they deserve peace, joy, and fulfillment along the journey, not just at the finish line. Through her brand, she is encouraging women to prioritize themselves, protect their peace, and embrace a lifestyle where they can truly unwind and thrive.
What inspired you to launch Unwind & Thrive, and what personal experiences shaped your mission to empower women through intentional living and self-care?
As a woman balancing a demanding healthcare career, entrepreneurship, family relationships, and personal ambitions, I began questioning what it truly means to live well. I realized that so many women, myself included, spend years preparing for the life they want while forgetting to appreciate the life they’re currently living.
I realized that so many women, myself included, spend years preparing for the life they want while forgetting to appreciate the life they’re currently living.
That realization became part of the foundation for Unwind & Thrive. I wanted to create more than a luxury self-care brand. I wanted to create an experience that reminds women they deserve peace, rest, and moments of joy right now—not only after reaching their next milestone. My mission is rooted in one belief:
Rest is a right, not a reward.
Why is prioritizing mental wellness so important, and what practical steps can women take to reclaim their peace?
I believe mental wellness is the foundation of how we show up in every area of our lives. When we’re constantly pouring into everyone else without replenishing ourselves, eventually we begin operating from exhaustion rather than purpose. One thing I’ve learned is that being busy doesn’t always mean we’re being productive, and being successful doesn’t necessarily mean we’re fulfilled.
Reclaiming your peace begins with being intentional about your time and energy. That may look like establishing boundaries, getting adequate rest, incorporating movement into your routine, journaling, praying, or simply allowing yourself a quiet moment without feeling guilty. For me, Pilates, sauna sessions, and creating moments to disconnect have become meaningful parts of my wellness routine.
I encourage women to stop viewing self-care as something they must earn. You don’t have to accomplish everything on your to-do list before you’re worthy of rest.
What obstacles have you faced while growing Unwind & Thrive, and what lessons have shaped you as an entrepreneur?
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance the vision I have for my future with the responsibilities and experiences of my present. When you’re building something you’re passionate about, it’s easy to become consumed with what’s next—the next opportunity, partnership, launch, or milestone. I’ve also experienced the challenges that come with developing products, managing vendors, building relationships, and maintaining the level of quality I want associated with my brand.
Entrepreneurship has taught me patience, resilience, adaptability, and the importance of protecting my peace while pursuing my goals. One lesson that continues to shape me is that success should never require you to completely lose yourself in the process of achieving it.
I’m learning that growth isn’t always about moving faster. Sometimes it’s about becoming more intentional with where you invest your time, energy, and resources.
What makes your approach unique, and how do you hope your brand transforms the lives of the women it serves?
What makes Unwind & Thrive unique is that we’re not simply selling body oils, whipped body butters, sugar scrubs, or candles. We’re encouraging women to create intentional moments of restoration in their everyday lives. Luxury, to me, isn’t always about expensive things. Sometimes luxury is having peace of mind, healthy relationships, time to rest, and the freedom to enjoy the life you’re building.
Through our products, wellness experiences, and conversations, I want women to understand that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. My vision is for Unwind & Thrive to become a community where women feel empowered to prioritize themselves without guilt. I want every woman who encounters our brand to feel that she has permission to slow down, exhale, and reconnect with herself. Because true luxury isn’t simply what you own. It’s also how you experience your life.
As you look toward the future, what are your goals for Unwind & Thrive, and what message would you share with a woman who feels overwhelmed, disconnected from herself, or afraid to put her own needs first?
My vision for Unwind & Thrive is to grow into a nationally recognized luxury wellness and self-care brand that creates meaningful experiences for women. I envision expanding our product collections, developing partnerships with major beauty and wellness retailers, hosting wellness experiences, and creating educational conversations around women’s health, emotional wellness, and intentional living.
But beyond business growth, I want Unwind & Thrive to represent a movement that changes how women think about rest and success. To the woman who feels overwhelmed or disconnected from herself, I would say this:
You are allowed to have dreams, ambitions, and a vision for your future without sacrificing every beautiful thing about your present.
Don’t become so focused on the woman you’re becoming that you forget to appreciate the woman you are today. Your relationships matter. Your health matters. Your peace matters. The memories you create along the journey matter. You don’t have to wait until you’ve achieved everything to begin enjoying your life. Build your vision. Pursue your purpose. Keep growing. But remember to live along the way.
Don’t lose today chasing tomorrow.
