BLESSED Geza, the outspoken liberation war veteran who broke ranks to publicly demand President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s immediate resignation, has been declared a liberation war hero, a source has told NewZimbabwe.com.
Geza died last week in South Africa, where he had been living in hiding after becoming a vocal critic of the Mnangagwa administration.
He rose to prominence through his widely shared “Fellow Zimbabweans” addresses on YouTube, in which he openly challenged the government and called for political change.
Last year, Geza urged Zimbabweans to observe two national shutdowns, actions that prompted a heavy security response from the State.
Geza’s family has reportedly been engaged to head to South Africa to collect his body.
More details to follow…
