The City of Atlanta’s Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI), also known as the Atlanta Tech Hub, unveiled its 2025 Impact Report at the official “State of the ATL Tech Ecosystem” event at Intuit’s Atlanta office on April 1, 2026. Commemorating Atlanta Tech Hub’s third anniversary, the report details key metrics demonstrating the accelerating momentum of Atlanta’s globally recognized technology ecosystem, including securing $1.2 billion in venture capital and the creation of 1,155 new tech jobs in 2025.
The Impact Report highlights a thriving ecosystem, with strong evidence of growth and confidence:
- Venture Capital: $1.2 billion raised in 2025 across 82 funding rounds.
- Job Growth: 1,155 new hires added by Atlanta Tech Hub-supported companies, generating $69.3 million in salaries.
- Founder Confidence: 78% of Atlanta Tech Hub-supported companies surveyed would recommend Atlanta as a place to start a company.*
- Hiring Outlook: 92% of supported companies plan to hire more in the next 12 months.*
- Deploying Capital: $85M committed to private market investments (since inception).
*Note: Atlanta Tech Hub conducted a founder survey across its portfolio of supported companies. 49 of 146 companies participated. Survey-based statistics reflect the responses of participating founders.
Atlanta Tech Hub’s commitment to tech-driven municipal solutions and community well-being is also reflected in the data. Through the responsible deployment of AI, the city detected over 50 water leaks, saving an estimated 123 million gallons of water annually. Since its inception, Atlanta Tech Hub has mobilized over $37 million in investments.
“We are building an ecosystem of jobs where folks growing up in Atlanta can aspire to get these roles and have a truly substantial life by getting on the pathway to technology,” says Mayor Andre Dickens. “The biggest win of Atlanta Tech Hub’s progress in 2025 is that the people on the other side of this—our community residents, the people starting small businesses, and our youth—can actually see and feel the benefits of our city’s growth.”
“Atlanta has all the ingredients on the table to bake a really great cake, and the 2025 Impact Report shows that our ecosystem’s flywheel is officially spinning,” says Donnie Beamer, Senior Technology Advisor and Head of the Atlanta Tech Hub. “We are focused on connecting our founders to the true lifeblood of business: talent, capital, and customers. By investing directly in our next generation of builders, we are ensuring that anyone can build and scale their dream right here in their own backyard.”
The Atlanta Tech Hub continues to build accessible pathways into tech careers and entrepreneurship for Atlantans of all backgrounds, supporting 146 companies and engaging with 149 partners in 2025. Key initiatives include the Launch Incubator For Traction (LIFT) for Black STEM entrepreneurs, the Atlanta Startup Growth Loan Program (ASGLP), and the Technology & Innovation Learning Experience (TILE) program. Atlanta Tech Hub-supported events, like Avant South and Atlanta Tech Week, engaged more than 16,640 Atlantans in STEAM, entrepreneurship, and tech in 2025.
