Saint Lucian bodybuilder Kirby Charles came back from the 2026 Roger Boyce Classic and IFBB Pro World Cup with a silver medal after finishing second in the men’s physique category at the Garfield Sobers Complex in Barbados. This adds to his ongoing streak of regional medals.

The Saint Lucia Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (SLABBFA) described Charles’ performance as “outstanding” in a press release. Charles trains at Mango Moon Gym and has won several national championships. The federation said he “displayed exceptional conditioning, symmetry, discipline and stage presence”.

“This is a historic achievement and a true testament to Kirby’s relentless dedication, discipline and passion for the sport,” said SLABBFA president Eugene Gabriel. “Competing against the absolute best at a major IFBB World Cup event and taking second place reinforces Saint Lucia’s position on the international fitness map. Kirby has set a standard of excellence for our local athletes.”

Between 2022 and 2025, Charles won three medals at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. The Roger Boyce Classic is known as the biggest bodybuilding and fitness event in the Eastern Caribbean. This year, around 300 top athletes from local, regional, and international levels competed, making it a very competitive event.
