Chris Brown Security Guard Fired Following Confrontation With Woman That Turned Violent

Chris Brown had to cut ties with his security detail after one of his own guards opened fire outside his Tarzana mansion on Friday.

The incident unfolded when a woman showed up at the property and refused to leave after being asked, escalating into a confrontation at the front gate that ended with a CO2-style gun being fired.

According to TMZ, the 35-year-old guard, identified as Markeith Cungious, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.

The situation started simple enough. A random woman showed up at Chris’s place trying to get close. The woman refused to cooperate when she was asked to beat it, and things got heated fast.

According to law enforcement sources, she got into her vehicle and drove over the guard’s foot, which is when he fired the shot.

Chris was home during the incident but had zero involvement in what happened, making his position technically accurate but also a little misleading since his own employee pulled the trigger.

The weapon used wasn’t classified as a firearm under California law, which is why the charge reflects that distinction.

Cungious was immediately terminated from his position on Chris’s security team following the arrest.

The woman wasn’t seriously injured in the confrontation, but the whole situation created exactly the kind of headache Chris didn’t need.

“AT THIS POINT THIS PATTERN IS OLD,” he wrote. “I’m looking at the news like the rest of y’all wondering when and where the hell this happened. I been in my crib this whole time. Ain’t heard a gunshot, police car, or anything. DON’T ATTACH MY NAME TO NONE OF THE B#######. I got S### to do!”

What makes this story interesting is the gap between what’s technically true and what actually happened.

Chris Brown can say he wasn’t involved because he wasn’t anywhere near the scene, but his security was involved, so it is only logical that his name would be attached to this wild incident.
