*Daphne Joy posted a lengthy statement to her Instagram Story on June 1 addressing a sex tape involving herself, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and adult actor Sly Diggler, deleting the post shortly after it went up, BOSSIP reports.
In the statement, Joy described the experience as deeply traumatic and alleged the footage was captured without her knowledge while she was still in a relationship with Combs. She did not name him directly but reflected on what she called an emotionally damaging chapter of her life, acknowledging she had pushed past her own limits to keep someone she loved satisfied.
“Everybody plays the fool sometimes, and I have been the biggest fool,” she wrote. “I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied… I wanted to fulfill all his desires … even if that meant breaking my own boundaries.”
Joy also addressed the complexity of her feelings toward the relationship. “I deeply loved him … and I believed he loved me too,” she wrote. “It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship… I realize that it was far from love.”
Joy also detailed a separate ordeal that followed the recording, alleging that someone attempted to leverage the footage for financial gain. She claims the tape was subsequently sold to a major media outlet, which opted against releasing it upon concluding the material was rooted in revenge porn and criminal extortion. “The media outlet called me one day and said they had the tape,” she recalled. “It was the first time I ever fainted in my life.”
Joy closed her statement on a note of reclaimed self-worth. “I am precious, I am special, I am worthy. This is the first time that I have ever felt a part of my own body and that my body belongs to me.”
The footage circulated on social media over the weekend, with the explicit video reported to be around 40 minutes long.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent, who shares a son, Sire Jackson, with Daphne Joy, who weighed in on the controversy.
“She’s not a victim, SIRE is,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Can you imagine going to eighth grade to find out this is your mom. The court system in LA thinks it’s fine.”
