*The 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame Gala just got a whole lot more legendary.
On Friday, May 8, The Beverly Hilton will host music royalty as the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum celebrate this year’s inductees — and the newly announced lineup of performers is nothing short of historic.
George Clinton, the Funkadelic founder and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, will take the stage. So will Heart, whose founding members Ann and Nancy Wilson are also Lifetime Achievement Award honorees. Lucinda Williams, the multi-Grammy-winning singer-songwriter whose raw, poetic Americana has influenced generations, joins the bill. And Take 6, the multi-Grammy-winning a cappella gospel sextet, will bring their flawless harmonies to the gala.
There’s a throughline here: Clinton, Heart, and Williams each have a recording being inducted into this year’s Grammy Hall of Fame. They’re not just performing — they’re celebrating their own musical legacies.
Norah Jones Takes Center Stage
As previously announced, multi-Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist Norah Jones will also perform. But that’s not all. Jones will be presented with the prestigious Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award, an honor reserved for artists whose innovative spirit and technical mastery have reshaped recorded music.
If anyone fits that description, it’s the woman behind Come Away with Me.
Honoring Warner Records — And 14 Historic Recordings
The evening will also shine a spotlight on this year’s label honoree, Warner Records, a label whose catalog reads like a history of modern music itself.
But the real stars of the night are the recordings. The 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees include 14 titles spanning nearly a century of music:

From 2Pac’s double-disc masterpiece to Radiohead’s paranoid, beautiful anxiety attack, from Selena’s tejano soul to Nick Drake’s quiet devastation — this is a class that defies genre and generation.
The Team Behind the Night
Returning as host is esteemed journalist Anthony Mason. The show is being produced by former Grammy Awards Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich, alongside Ron Basile, Chantel Sausedo, Lindsay Saunders Carl, and Lynne Sheridan. Musical direction comes from Grammy- and Latin Grammy-winning composer, producer, and conductor Cheche Alara.
That’s a lot of firepower for one night. But then again, these recordings deserve nothing less.
