The Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis will honor Clarence Jackson with its Norman A. Stack Community Relations Award during the organization’s annual Tzedek Awards on May 20 at the Clayton Plaza Hotel.
Jackson is executive director of the Ecumenical Leadership Council of Missouri’s St. Louis chapter. He previously became the first African American executive at KMOX radio and later founded DDC Advertising & Public Relations.
The JCRC said Jackson is being recognized for efforts to strengthen ties between Black and Jewish communities in St. Louis and for his civic leadership.
