KISS are cruising back to Las Vegas for their annual “KISS Kruise: Land-locked in Vegas” event. The second edition of the terra firma-based dry voyage will take place from Nov. 13-15 at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas and feature a special all-star tribute to the band’s original guitarist Ace Frehley, who died in October at 74.

The Ace Frehley All-Star Tribute will feature a memorial to the Spaceman from singer/bassist Gene Simmons, guitarist/singer Paul Stanley, former guitarist Tommy Thayer and longtime drummer Eric Singer. The bandmates — who each personally selected a song that they will perform individually as part of the tribute — will be joined by as-yet-unannounced special guest stars, with support from the Ace Frehley Band.

“Another year of the KISS Kruise experience and the best one yet is on the way.  Everything we’ve learned at sea and on land over the past years is going into making this the ultimate weekend with us,” said Stanley in a statement. “No ship?!? No problem! What’s so awesome about KISS Kruise: Land-Locked is that it’s a full-scale resort takeover created to give us all 100% of what we’ve come to love and expect. We can’t wait to be back together with the KISS Army and Navy from around the world for more killer performances, incredible artists, events, and exclusive experiences you won’t find anywhere else.”

The event co-produced with Pophouse, Vibee and Topeka, will be the greasepaint rockers’ only live performance anywhere this year and it will feature two unmasked sets, one acoustic and one electric, as well as performances from Night Ranger, former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick, Slaughter, Faster Pussycat, Keel, Enuff Z’Nuff, Kuarantine and the Rock and Roll Over KISS Tribute Band. Other weekend highlights include band meet-and-greets, artist panels, Simmons’ Private KISS Collection Show & Tell, Stanley’s KISS Cook Off cooking competition, Singer’s Kiss Kruiser Drum Off and Q&A and Thayer’s wine tasting and live band karaoke.

There will also be a band look-alike contest, KISS Army karaoke, late night DJ sets, interactive and replica exhibits, archival displays, exclusive merch, a fan-driven Swag Swap and theme nights, including Album Cover Night, Spaceman Night and Vintage KISS T-shirt night. Opening night will include an exclusive pre-party featuring Chicago’s Enuff Z’Nuff and the Frehley band performing KISS’ 1976 Rock and Roll Over LP.
