ZIMBABWEAN international midfielder Marshall Munetsi Sunday evening scored a goal to help Paris FC salvage a point against Lorient in a French Ligue 1 match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Munetsi scored in the 74th minute to cancel B. Dieng’s 54th-minute goal for Lorient, hence the two sides shared the spoils.
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder has now scored four goals for Paris FC since joining the side in January on loan from English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Paris FC has been boosted by Munetsi, who has made a huge impact at the club, which is fighting for relegation survival.
Munetsi arrived while the club was in 17th position on the log, and through his contribution in the past 11 games he has played, the team is now in 12th position, which is two places above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, reports have it that Paris FC has engaged Wolves for a possible permanent deal for Munetsi.
The Zimbabwean midfielder’s loan move is ending in June, and the club is pushing to secure the player permanently.
