Perfect start for Champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies

FUFA Women Super League reigning Champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies made a perfect start to their title defence with a comfortable 3-0 win over newly promoted Jinja United.

The Valley Warriors showed their might and intent right from onset, scoring twice inside the opening five minutes.

Latifah Nakasi fired the Champions into an early lead, scoring just two minutes after kickoff before Jovia Nakagolo doubled the advantage a minute later.

Belinda Nabawanuka came off the bench to put the game beyond reach in the 69th minute with the third goal of the day.

Kawempe Muslim will return to action next Saturday with a trip to Wankulukuku to face She Maroons while Jinja United will entertain She Corporate at Ssaza Ground in Iganga on the same day.

Matchday one action will continue on Sunday with five fixtures. Newcomers URA Ladies will host Kampala Women at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo, Makerere University will welcome Amus College at Nsibirwa Grounds, Lady Doves will face Uganda Martyrs in Masindi, Rines will host She Maroons at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, while She Corporate will entertain St. Noa Girls at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
