Potters Stingerz dominate opponents for consecutive wins in Village Netball League

There were back-to-back wins for Potters Stingers in the Antigua Generators/Cool & Smooth sponsored Village Netball League spanning 48 hours as they continue their winning ways in the Antigua and Barbuda Netball Association (ABNA) competition at Willikies.

In their latest triumph, Stingers made light work of the Under-16 National Team, winning the contest 40-3 on Wednesday night. They were led by Tashana Bloomfield who hit 22 of her 28 attempts while Tanya Greene contributed with 11 of her 15 attempts. Adina Andre also contributed to the winning efforts with seven of her eight tries.

In a losing effort, Tina Graham, Deancia Lewis and Leannie Darroux recorded a single basket each.

In their previous showdown, Stingers overpowered Pares Net Masters 70-6 also at Willikies. Bloomfield was in fine form, hitting 46 of her 53 attempts while Andre picked up 16 of her 21 attempts. Greene contributed with eight of her 10 attempts. Andrea Benjamin was the top performer for Net Masters with four of her 10 attempts.

On Wednesday, All Saints United rallied to a welcomed 52-41 triumph over Seatons Eastsiders. Rayana Regis led the scoring for the victors with 34 of her 43 attempts while Zhania Pereira bagged 15 of her 22 tries.

Amey Lake was the top performer for Eastsiders, hitting 23 of her 35 attempts while Christina Lloyd bagged 18 of 27 attempts.

Also on Wednesday, Grays Green Flyballers beat Net Masters 51-10. Krizia Duncan was in top form for the victors, sinking 43 of her 54 tries while Kizzy Hughes hit eight of 12. Annika Wilson was the top shooter for Pares, hitting five of seven attempts.

On Tuesday, Flyballers defeated Willikies 37-13 while Seatons Eastsiders and Swetes/Roman Hill played to a 41-41 draw.
