DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA and Kuwait have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation following talks between Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, and Kuwait’s Ambassador-designate to Tanzania, Salem Yousif Alhamdan.
The discussions took place in Dar es Salaam when the Kuwait Ambassador was presenting his letter of credentials to the Minister at the Ministry’s sub-office.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various areas of diplomatic cooperation and pledged to further strengthen the long-standing relations between Tanzania and Kuwait for the mutual benefit of both countries.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in key economic sectors, including trade, investment, infrastructure, health, agriculture and water development.
Mr Kombo congratulated Ambassador-designate Alhamdan on his appointment and assured him of Tanzania’s full cooperation throughout his diplomatic assignment in the country.
For his part, Mr Alhamdan expressed gratitude to the Tanzanian government for the existing cordial relations and pledged to continue advancing cooperation in priority areas aimed at benefiting citizens of both nations.
