Caught between wanting the impact and hydration of a shea butter but the sheen and protective layer of an oil? Been there. Especially being a busy, eczema-prone girly, I’m always looking for products that truly do it all: hydrate, lock in moisture, and keep itching to a minimum—all while making my skin glow.
That said, you can understand my excitement when I discovered R&R Skincare’s Shea Body Oil. Made from shea butter locally sourced in Ghana, this oil comes in four scents: Lemongrass, Lavender & Ylang Ylang, Oud, and, for the sensitive skin folks, like myself, Unscented.

My current routine? I love to slather the unscented version on my wet skin, post shower, to lock in the hydration. On top of this, I’ll layer a lotion or body cream. If my skin is extra dry, I’ll put another layer of the oil on top of the lotion, to ensure I’m hydrated all day long, and that my skin is smooth and supple.
Beyond hydration, this product also works to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and scars. Even further, it can help reduce inflammation in angry skin. Need I say more?
And, with Mother’s Day just around the corner, this product would make an incredible gift for the special mother figure(s) in your life. Afterall, who doesn’t love a little extra hydration? It helps, too, that there’s a scent for every type of person. Or, better yet, spoil her by letting her try them all.
