On 9 May, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Mr. Ely Ould El Veirik, accompanied by the Senegalese Minister of Infrastructure, Land and Air Transport, Mr Dithy Fall, and the Wali of Trarza, Mr Ahmedna Ould Sid Ebba, paid an inspection visit to the Rosso Bridge project linking Mauritania and Senegal, to assess the progress of works on this vital development project.
The ministers inspected the various project sites, where they listened to technical briefings from supervisors on the implementation of the works, covering the stages completed, the progress achieved, and the remaining timeframe for completion of the project.
The two sides also held a meeting with the contractors and the technical firms supervising the project, dedicated to reviewing the progress of the works, discussing the challenges faced, and ways to overcome them, thereby ensuring the project is implemented in accordance with the required technical standards and within the specified deadlines.
