Trump Warns Iran: Accept Deal or Face Expanded Bombing

(AURN News) — Two months into a war that has shut off a fifth of the world’s oil supply, President Donald Trump is giving Iran another ultimatum: accept a deal or face heavier bombardment.

In a Truth Social post, Trump demanded that Iran freeze its nuclear program, reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping and accept a U.S.-brokered peace framework. He wrote, “If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before.”

Axios reported this morning that negotiators are close to a one-page, 14-point memorandum of understanding — essentially a ceasefire agreement that would lift U.S. sanctions on Iran, release billions in frozen Iranian funds and gradually reopen the Strait. Iran has 48 hours to respond to the key terms.

Tehran says it is evaluating the proposal. Oil prices fell 6% on the news as the war entered its 67th day.
