After successful listening sessions in Braamfontein, the collective has now teased that official visuals for the project are finally on the way, sending excitement through the ever-growing community of “Cotton Eaters.”

“You’ve heard the MixTape, now it’s time for the music video,” the team shared in a playful announcement accompanied by cryptic behind-the-scenes imagery hinting at a fiery cinematic rollout.

The Cotton Fest Mixtape, which spotlights the UCF Creative Programme’s Class of 2026 alongside standout Open Mic alumni from previous years, arrived earlier this year after a demanding creative bootcamp led by celebrated producer MashBeatz. Since its release, the project has earned praise for its unfiltered storytelling, hunger-driven lyricism, and fresh contribution to South African hip-hop culture.

Now, attention shifts from the speakers to the screen. Fans are anticipating visuals that could mirror the raw pulse of Johannesburg’s inner city, the colourful chaos of past Cotton Fest gatherings, and the rebellious spirit tied to the movement’s famous “We Never Die, We Multiply” philosophy.

Over the years, Cotton Fest has evolved into far more than a music festival. The platform has become a launchpad for emerging voices across music, fashion, art, and youth culture, consistently creating opportunities for the next generation of creatives to sharpen their craft and gain visibility.

Although no official release date has been confirmed for the visuals, anticipation is already building online as Cotton Eaters prepare for what could become another defining cultural moment for the movement.
