The Minister of Defense, Retirees, and Children of Martyrs, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, delivered a written message on Tuesday in Niamey, the capital of Niger, from His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to his Nigerien counterpart, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Niger, Mr. Abdourahamane Tiani.
This message concerns Mauritania’s candidacy for the position of Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Republic of Niger and expand it into new areas to serve the common interests of the two brotherly nations.
The message also emphasizes the importance of intensifying consultation and coordination on various regional and international issues of common interest.
Following the audience, the Minister stated that the Nigerien President had tasked him with conveying his fraternal greetings to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, along with his wishes for progress and prosperity for the brotherly Mauritanian people.
