For the second game in a row, Vipers dropped points in the title race drawing 1-1 at rivals SC Villa at Fufa stadium, Kadiba.
Hilary Mukundane headed home before Frank Ssebuufu equalised for the Jogoos.
Ismael Kiyonga keenly followed proceedings and rates the Venoms on the day.
Denis Kiggundu 7.0: Could have done better to deny Ssebuufu on the leveller but did well to deny Najib Yiga and Reagan Mpande in the second half.
Ashraf Mandela 5.0: Kept busy by Kakande and later Mpande and his passing accuracy needed to be better. Never gave up against tricky customers.
Derrick Ndahiro 6.0: Got a starting nod in the absence of Luyima and had a tough time against Mubiru and company. Decent in possession but always needed cover from Dasylva.
Hilary Mukundane 7.0: Walked the usual tightrope with his aggressive style. At times effective, at times chaotic but earned the Venoms the point with a well-timed header.
Bady Dasylva 6.0: Put in a couple of expertly-timed tackles on Ssebuufu and stepped forward brilliantly covered Ndahiro all evening. However, he was caught out of position on more than one occasion including the lead up to the goal.
Taddeo Lwanga 5.0: Battled Villa’s midfield trio expertly with his physicality and aggressiveness. Booked for a poor challenge at the stroke of halftime and subbed off with injury after the break.
Enock Ssebagala 6.0: Fortunate to escape a second yellow with a bad challenge. In general play, he was just above average before he was taken off.
Karim Watambala 6.5: A quieter performance, largely because Villa opted to keep him tight marked with Misi Diego Ssemugera doing a good job on him.
Usama Arafat 6.0: Started well flying down the right but later faded with Ssemayange getting a grip on him. He later changed wing but still not as effective as he has always been.
Milton Karisa 6.0: A workaholic that was willing to do well in attack but kept closely in check by Villa’s centre back pairing. Missed a good chance to win the game late on.
Chukwuma Odili 6.0: Set up Vipers’ goal with a brilliant corner but found it hard to beat Owori on several occasions.
Substitutes
Paul Mbowa 6.0: Replaced injured Lwanga at halftime and did well. However fortunate that Ssebuufu’s header didn’t go in after he switched off when Kiggundu went down and left goal empty.
Marvin Youngman 7.0: Calmed things down in the middle when he came on and was accurate with his passes.
Yunus Sentamu 5.0: A few decent touches in the penalty area and denied by a big block.
Isaac Ogwang 6.0: Got booked for a late challenge on Barasa. Played a key pass to Karisa that could have won the game.
Head coach: Jacky Ivan Minnaert 7.0:
Tactically set up to play on the break in the first half opting for a mid-block but somehow opened up after the break.
He also made good substitutions although Ogwang should have come on earlier.
