Economic Minister discusses strengthening the partnership with the Saudi business sector

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallah Ould Souleimane Ould Cheikh Sidiya, discussed today, Thursday, ways to strengthen economic partnership with the Saudi business sector, on the sidelines of his participation in the 29th St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026).

The meeting addressed prospects for strengthening economic cooperation between the two sides, ways to expand areas of joint investment, and encouraging partnerships between economic actors, thereby contributing to supporting development, exchanging expertise and achieving mutual interests.

The meeting coincided with the opening of the exhibition organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of the forum’s activities, in its capacity as the main guest of honor for this edition.

The St Petersburg International Economic Forum, known globally as the “Russian Davos”, is the largest international economic platform organized by Russia, and aims to promote economic dialogue and expand international partnerships, particularly with countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

The forum will continue until 6 June, with the participation of around 20,000 people representing more than 130 countries, including government officials, business leaders, investors and economic experts.
