Inayah Brings Soul, Sisterhood & Transparency to Her Therapy Wasn’t Enough Debut

On behalf of Sheen Magazine, I stepped into an evening filled with healing, laughter, vulnerability, and just the right amount of eye candy as Inayah celebrated the debut of her new album Therapy Wasn’t Enough and newest single Outside.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt intentional. The room was beautifully curated for women to relax, connect, and simply enjoy themselves. And yes, Inayah definitely understood the assignment when it came to keeping the ladies entertained. Between the music, cocktails, and the very attractive male models throughout the venue, the energy was playful from start to finish.

One of the highlights of the night was the sip-and-paint experience where guests were encouraged to paint the male “eye candy” posing, and some of the women may have focused on painting only one particular body part on the canvas, sending the room into nonstop laughter and hilarious reactions all night long.

Beyond the fun moments, the evening carried a deeper message centered around healing, relationships, and growth. Inayah was refreshingly open as she spoke about the inspiration behind Therapy Wasn’t Enough, sharing how the album reflects the seven stages of grief tied to love and heartbreak. Her honesty made the room feel less like an industry event and more like a safe space for women who have experienced disappointment, emotional growth, and the process of rediscovering themselves.

What made Inayah even more relatable was how naturally she shared her joy about finding love again. Glowing while speaking about her new fiancé, she described him as different from the men she’s dated in the past. She jokingly and lovingly admitted that she will love him no matter what. The transparency, humor, and softness in her storytelling made guests connect with her even more.

Dedicated to mothers and women embracing life outside of survival mode, the night became a celebration of sisterhood, self-love, and choosing happiness again. Through music, laughter, and community, Inayah created an album debut that women could truly feel.
