Levi helped to cook for about 50+ older people and joined in with all the festivities, when he attended Age UK Lewisham and Southwark’s Kitchen Club this week.
Levi had a great afternoon, cooking, chatting and eating good food.
"For me, food is about so much more than eating well. It’s about taking the time to come together, to talk, to listen and to connect. Just sharing a meal together creates togetherness and community."
“I love Christmas, but without family or friends it can be a really lonely time – and that’s a sad reality for a lot of older people. I hate the idea of anyone feeling forgotten or left out, which is why I’m supporting Age UK this Christmas. Through activities like these cooking classes, older people can learn new skills, meet people and feel part of something, particularly at this time of year.”
