AT approximately 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, New Westminster Police Department officers responded to a collision involving a pedestrian near 8th Street and 4th Avenue.
Officers arrived alongside BC Emergency Health Services paramedics. The man’s injuries were determined to be serious and the driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. Officers are currently canvassing for CCTV and interviewing witnesses.
“It is believed several witnesses may have left the scene before police arrived,” said Sgt. Jacquelyn Mula. “We’re asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to please come forward and share with police what they saw.”
