Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne has described the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival as the highlight of his stay in Saint Lucia, praising the event as one of the Caribbean’s leading music festivals.
Browne who visited the island as part of the Caribbean investment Summit, appeared at a couple of the Jazz themed events.
Speaking while attending World Beats, Browne said the long-running event continues to distinguish itself as a major cultural and entertainment showcase within the region.

“It’s always been one of the top festivals within the region,” Browne stated, noting that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The Antiguan leader said the festival stood out during his visit and emphasized the importance of maintaining strong Caribbean-centered cultural events.
“We need some of our festivals to be Caribbean,” he said. “Happy to be here.”
Browne also expressed pleasure at attending alongside regional colleagues and extended well wishes to patrons enjoying the festivities.
The Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival continues to attract visitors from across the Caribbean and internationally, featuring a wide range of musical genres and themed events throughout the festival period.
This year’s edition has featured performances from regional and international acts and attracted global influencers such as Certified Samson, Julien Alfred, Angela Simmons, Yvette Noel and Shermay Barbes to name a fews, reinforcing the festival’s reputation as one of the premier entertainment events in the Caribbean.
