Instead of avoiding puddles, the team’s hilarious roadside “emergency board meeting” during stormy weather has social media entertained.
Cape Town, South Africa (19 May 2026) – When heavy rain leaves most people avoiding puddles and roadside splash zones, the team from Van Hunks decided to turn the chaos into fun.
In a now-viral video, two members of the team are seen sitting beside a flooded road in beach chairs, dressed in what can only be described as “corporate-on-top, vacation-at-the-bottom” attire. While their formal shirts suggested a serious business meeting, the beach shorts and roadside setup told a very different story.
“Our version of an emergency board meeting.”
The duo then casually sat back as passing cars splashed them with water. Social media users were entertained by the bizarre rainy-day humour.
They later followed up the video with another clip joking that they had “accidentally put Cape Verde in the weather app,” explaining why they appeared to be dressed for summer while dealing with stormy weather conditions instead.
