Part of Atlanta’s charm lies in its diverse food scene, from the rich culture to the bold flavors. The saying often goes that “Atlanta isn’t a real place,” and what makes it unique is the bustling dining and drinking spots on every corner of the city’s neighborhoods, built to satisfy every palate. Lucky for locals and tourists alike, there’s never a shortage of places to visit, especially when new businesses are rolling in every month. However, the restaurant industry landscape is constantly in flux, and amid grand openings, the city is also seeing a wave of closures, from small businesses to legacy and popular restaurants.

Here is a roundup of updates on recently opened restaurants and incoming restaurants.

Juici Patties

From Jamaica to Atlanta, the Caribbean island’s largest restaurant chain has landed in Atlanta with its first location in the city. Known for its patties and “serious Jamaican food,” the beloved chain has been a staple in Jamaica, with over 60 locations across the country. Now those flavors have hit the Westside, and its highly-anticipated opening has locals lining up to get a taste of menu items such as coco bread, ackee and saltfish, and its variety of patties. Whether it’s to see if the Atlanta location tastes like home or to get a first introduction to the brand, Juici Patties’ arrival means that the craving for authentic Jamaican patties doesn’t always have to mean boarding a flight.

Now, Terminal 26 at Ponce City Market has been added to that list. With a focus on Thai street food and inspired by Thailand’s floating markets, the restaurant opened on the PCM’s ground floor on June 8, bringing a new chapter of dining to the beloved restaurant group.
