Duetti Launches French Division, Appoints Naïma Menxhiqi as Country Director

Duetti, the catalog acquisition platform founded in 2022, has officially opened a French division and named Naïma Menxhiqi to lead it. She steps into the role on June 1.

The company, which focuses on buying and developing the catalogs of independent artists, says it has worked with more than 1,100 artists to date. Duetti has raised a total of $635 million in funding, with backers including The Raine Group, Roc Nation, Viola Ventures, Viola Credit and Flexpoint Ford. Its most recent funding round, closed in January 2026, brought in $200 million. Past French acquisitions include the catalogs of Imen Es and Yanns.

Menxhiqi brings experience in catalog management in France and music rights monetization across Eastern Europe. She began her career in Eastern Europe and the Balkans in the mid-2010s, where she observed that many artists and songwriters were accumulating tens of millions of YouTube views without knowing their works were generating royalties. That gap led her to found Alba Music Publishing, a firm specializing in Balkan repertoires that helped songwriters join performing rights organizations such as SACEM and collect their earnings.

She later launched a second publishing company, We Matter Music Publishing, focused on the French market, signing beatmakers including Koston and Toto Beats, whose productions have been placed with artists such as Jul, Soprano, Soolking and Niska.

That work caught the attention of American funds looking to invest in European music rights. Menxhiqi transitioned into catalog brokerage, and Duetti made its first French acquisitions through her.

“Unlike many players in the market, Duetti does not simply acquire catalogs,” she said. “The company works as a genuine partner to artists, with a transparent, straightforward approach tailored to the realities of independent creators.”

She added that catalog acquisitions have historically been limited to established artists with so-called premium or evergreen catalogs. “Duetti has helped shift that dynamic by recognizing the value of independent artists’ catalogs that were often undervalued by the market.”

Duetti CEO Lior Tibon said: “We are excited to welcome Naïma to Duetti as our France lead to help us better serve independent artists and songwriters in the French market. Her appointment underscores our enthusiasm for this market and our commitment to investing in its local music industry.”

Menxhiqi will be supported by two A&Rs, Simon Huver and Lyva Corvo. A Paris office is expected to open in the coming months.
