As earlier reported, the Prime Minister of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly, saw to the launch and inspection of several industrial projects in the New Borg El-Arab City, Alexandria, including the first phase of the El-Gharably Industrial Complex, and the Jade Textile facility, among others.
The facility, managed by Jade Textile and owned by Turkey's Yesim Group, was officially inaugurated during the visit by the Egyptian prime minister.
According to officials from the company, investments in the Alexandria facility are approaching EGP 500 million.
More interestingly, the plant is intended to play an important role in increasing Egypt's export revenues, with projected annual exports ranging from $250 million to $500 million once operations reach full capacity.
As seen on DailyNewsEgypt, the facility, which spans around 60,000 square meters, was intended as an integrated production center capable of handling numerous phases of garment manufacturing.
Its processes include fabric cutting, embroidery, sewing, and finishing, all of which are aided by cutting-edge manufacturing technology designed to improve efficiency and quality.
The initiative is also projected to have a significant impact on employment.
Over 6,000 jobs have been generated at the Alexandria location alone, while the Yesim Group's businesses throughout Egypt employ over 15,000 people.
In addition to the new Alexandria location, the business has production facilities in 10th Ramadan City and Ismailia.
According to industry analysts, the investment is just another indicator of increasing foreign trust in Egypt's textile and apparel business.
The country continues to attract businesses seeking access to regional and global markets, thanks to its strategic geographic location and a network of trade agreements that offer advantageous export prospects.

Outside of the Jade Textile facility, Egypt on Sunday inaugurated the first phase of the El-Gharably Industrial Complex, a significant industrial facility intended to boost the country’s engineering capacity.

Government officials noted that the El-Gharably facility spans 315,000 square meters and has a yearly production capacity of more than 100,000 tons.
The complex now employs roughly 3,000 people, with plans to raise this number to 5,000.
The complex includes a steel construction factory, Egypt's largest maintenance and engine repair facilities, and a separate plant for industrial and medicinal gases.
Moataz El-Gharably leads the industrial complex, which seeks cooperation in railway wagon manufacture, agricultural machinery, and pipe construction.
